Sexy Spritzes on Sunday

Sexy Spritzes on Sunday

March brought us a whole lot of sunshine, spritzy weather, and seriously good company thanks to two unforgettable events we hosted with the amazing girlies from Sexy on Sundays. If you haven’t heard of them yet, allow us to introduce you—they’re a fabulous group of women, mostly from the UK, Canada, and Europe, who’ve made the big move to Australia and are now living their best lives in Australia.

Sexy on Sundays was started by the oh-so dynamic Rebecca Sambrook, who moved to Australia and created a social group (and podcast just recently with friend Lauren Bell) that’s all about sharing her chaotic, funny, and heartwarming experience of building a life in Australia without a clue. After starting in Melbourne, a new chapter of SOS is now run out of Sydney by Eve McGarva. And let us tell you, the SOS community is every bit as wonderful as you'd imagine.

We kicked things off on Sunday 16 March with a stunning dinner at The Butler in Potts Point. With views overlooking the Sydney skyline, twelve of us settled in for an evening of connection, laughter, and, of course, TANICA Spritzes. Chef Amber Doig absolutely spoiled us with a set menu featuring heirloom tomatoes, tuna tartare, seared scallops, and lamb barbacoa—aka heaven on a plate.

The following weekend, we headed down to Melbourne for round two at Yarra Botanica, just in time for golden hour. The Sexy on Sundays OG Melbourne girlies joined us for a spritzy sunset sesh by the river, complete with aperitivo platters, woodfire pizzas, and all the summer-in-a-glass vibes that TANICA is made for.

We couldn’t be more chuffed to be welcomed into this vibrant, supportive community. A huge shoutout to Rebecca for capturing the magic with beautiful photos and videos that we’ll be looking back on for ages.

These events were a special reminder of why we started TANICA in the first place. It’s a love letter to life in Australia—to the spontaneous get-togethers, the backyard moments that turn into memories, and to the people who remind us how lucky we are to live here. Sometimes it takes fresh eyes—like those who’ve chosen to move here—to help us slow down, sip, and really soak it all in.

Here’s to new friends, sunny Sundays, and spritzes that taste like summer. 🥂
